Iniciamos la temporada 2016-2017 con una derrota. El hecho de empezar con entrenadores nuevos, una manera de trabajar totalmente distinta y una idea de juego diferente a las anteriores hizo que llegáramos muy verdes al primer partido de liga. Fue un partido ante un rival muy físico que sirve principalmente para detectar errores y ver qué hemos podido mejorar desde que empezamos a trabajar. Y queda mucho por hacer.
Tras un inicio horroroso, donde nos vimos superados tanto en físico como en actitud, empezamos el partido 14-2, para iniciar una reacción increíble sustentada en una gran defensa y buena circulación de balón (18-16). Sin embargo el tercer y cuarto fueron muy malos defensivamente, donde marcaron una diferencia insalvable (48-28 y 54-29). El quinto periodo fue un empate a 6, cuarto bastante competido, para perder el siguiente con un parcial de 6-1 (54-29). El séptimo cuarto también fue flojo en defensa (62-33). Finalmente dimos la cara en el último cuarto, volviendo a defender y trabajando como debemos, con un parcial de 6-11 a nuestro favor.
La semana que viene jugamos contra La Garriga, que viene de una dura derrota por 46 puntos contra Campdevànol. Habrá que trabajar y competir al máximo. ¡1, 2, 3, Santa!
Pd: No puedo acabar sin hacer una mención especial a Alejandro, Óscar y Manuel. Hicieron un auténtico partidazo, especialmente en defensa. Enhorabuena chicos, esa es la linea a seguir.
